Why Do We Need The Power Of God?

Introduction

The power of God is something we need every day. Without it, we can’t do anything. The Bible says that without God’s power working in us and through us, our work is worthless (1 Corinthians 15:10). We need the power of God for this life and for eternity. Why? Because without his power:

God Is All-Powerful.

When it comes to God, the word all-powerful is a fitting title. The Bible tells of his infinite power over the universe and everything contained within it. He created all things through Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:16), including you and me!

He rules over every force in nature, including gravity and electromagnetism (Job 38). He controls who goes where after death (Hebrews 9:27; 2 Corinthians 5:8). Nothing escapes his notice—not even your thoughts!

God’s wisdom is so vast that he knows exactly how to deal with every situation we face on a daily basis (Romans 11:33). No matter what happens in your life—good or bad—you can be assured that God has a plan for you!

God Created Everything.

God created everything. He is the creator of all things, and we are all created in His image. We have been given the power to create and make changes to the world around us – but only if we use it wisely.

God blesses us with many gifts: love, peace, joy, faith and hope among them. These gifts guide our lives as we use them to better ourselves and others around us every day.

When you think about how much God has blessed your life with His love for you – don’t waste it! Use this precious gift wisely by taking action today on something that will make a difference not just in your life…but also in others’ lives too!

God Is All-Wise.

God is all-wise.

He knows everything. He sees everything, and He knows what we need before we even ask. He also knows our thoughts before we think them, so there isn’t anything that can surprise Him or take Him by surprise. God is not only all-knowing, but He is omniscient (all-knowing).

God Rules The Universe.

God rules the universe. He is sovereign. God is in control of everything and controls everything in creation. The Bible teaches that God rules over all things, including His own people (Deuteronomy 10:14).

God alone is supreme King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Revelation 17:14). Through His Son Jesus Christ, He has established a government through which we can live in peace with Him forever on His glorious new earth!

God Is Eternal And All-Knowing.

God is eternal and all-knowing. God knows everything, including the future. He knows your thoughts and feelings. God has a plan for us from birth to death, and he will never leave us or forsake us in our time of need.

God Is Loving And Merciful.

God is love, and God’s love for you is greater than your sin. This can be a hard truth to accept when we’ve done something wrong. But it’s the truth nonetheless because God’s mercy is greater than your sin. And his mercy is a gift that comes from him alone—not from anything we do or don’t do on our part. The fact that he offers this gift to us as sinners make him all the more loving and merciful toward us!

Using Our Own Power Will Not Solve Life’s Problems.

There are many things that we are capable of doing on our own, but there are also many areas where we need the help of God. In fact, when it comes to our salvation and our relationship with God, relying on yourself will not get you anywhere. The Bible says in James 4:13-15 that when someone tries to rely on their own strength, they end up being overcome by sin and temptation. Instead, the Bible tells us that we must ask God for help so that He can give us a new heart and enable us to do what is right.

We Need The Power Of God For This Life And For Eternity.

You need the power of God because you have a purpose. We all have a purpose, but we often don’t know it or let it be known. The devil wants us to live without purpose and without meaning in our lives, so he can keep us from God’s plan for our lives. But when you understand your true purpose in life and how much God loves you, then you will be able to live a life full of meaning and purpose!

You also need the power of God because we are weak in ourselves (Romans 5:6). We cannot overcome sin on our own because we are sinners who love sinning (1 John 2:16). We cannot overcome temptation on our own because we love being tempted with pleasure (Hebrews 3:13-15)! Only by calling out to Jesus Christ can we overcome these weaknesses within ourselves!

Conclusion

There is no other power like God’s. He alone can bring us the peace and contentment we long for in this life, and he has shown his love for us by sending his Son to die on the cross for our sins. The next time you’re faced with a problem or tempted to give up hope, remember that God wants to help you through it all—and he’ll do so if you ask him!
