The nature of Christ’s salvation is woefully misrepresented by the present-day evangelist. He announces a Saviour from Hell rather than a Saviour from sin. I have taken much pains to know everything that is esteemed worth knowing amongst men; but with all my reading, nothing now remains to comfort me at the close of this life but this passage of St. Paul: “It is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners.” To this I cleave, and herein do I find rest. – John Selden

To every toiling, heavy-laden sinner, Jesus says, Come to me and rest. But there are many toiling, heavy-laden believers, too. For them this same invitation is meant. Note well the words of Jesus, if you are heavy-laden with your service, and do not mistake it. It is not, Go, labor on, as perhaps you imagine. On the contrary, it is stop, turn back, Come to me and rest. Never, never did Christ send a heavy laden one to work; never, never did He send a hungry one, a weary one, a sick or sorrowing one, away on any service. For such the Bible only says, Come, come, come. – Hudson Taylor

If you come to Christ by a flash of the Holy Spirit so that by intuition you know that you are God’s child, you know it by the text but you also know it by the inner light, the inner illumination of the Spirit, and no one can ever reason you out of it. – A. W. Tozer

John Wesley tells of a dream he had. In the dream, he was ushered to the gates of Hell. There he asked, “Are there any Presbyterians here?” “Yes!”, came the answer. There he asked the same question, and the answer was No! “No?” To this, Wesley asked, “Who then is inside?” The answer came back, “There are only Christians here.” (1 Cor 1:10-17) – John Wesley

And now let me address all of you, high and low, rich and poor, one with another, to accept of mercy and grace while it is offered to you; Now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation; and will you not accept it, now it is offered unto you? – George Whitefield

What Is The Plan Of Salvation?

quotes about salvation image
  1. Repent. It means to change direction. You make a choice that you are going to start seeking Jesus and living for Jesus rather than living the way you have been living.
  2. Believe. You need to place your trust in Jesus to save you. You put your earthly and eternal destiny in His hands and trust that He can take you from where you are and all the mess of your life and give you a new future and a new destiny.
  3. Confess. You must let people know that you have made Jesus the ruler (Lord) of your life and that He is now your savior and that your life has been placed in His hands.
  4. Live. You have been given a second chance, a new life in Jesus. Live out that life by His teachings and guidance. Ask for Him to live on the inside of you. Ask Him to give you a new birth spiritually.

If you do these things, it will change your life. I know! It changed mine. Click here to learn more.
