What Do You Think It Means When You Hear: “Worship Him And Send Praises To His Holy Name?”
How do you worship God? How do you praise Him? Do you even know what “praise” and “worship” mean? The dictionary describes them as Praise: “express approval or admiration of, to glorify;” Worship: “reverence, adoration, adore, love and admire.” These are the attributes you should be showing to our Almighty God, His wonderful Holy Son Jesus Christ, and the Divine Holy Spirit every minute of every day.
Some will tell you that you should go into your closet and close the door to praise, worship, or even talk to one of the Holy Trinity; not so, all you need do is say “thank you, Father God, thank you Lord Jesus, or thank you Holy Spirit” no matter what you are doing; at hearing that simple statement from you will show each of the Trinity how grateful you are for their presence and your belief; believe me that’s enough to bring smiles to heaven.
Some people have great difficulty talking to God; they sometimes feel they are not worthy to speak directly to Him; they feel it would be disrespectful of them to openly speak to God; you must stop and remember that you are one of God’s beloved adopted children; God is our creator, He made us in His image as His most cherished possession; then in order to make humans completely understand who and what “God” is, He sent His only Begotten Son to spread the Good News of the Kingdom of heaven; to make people understand that God can be freely spoken to, prayed to, praised and worshiped.
In turn, He will distribute His love and blessings over each of His followers as they have never been loved before; it was God who gave you free will to make your own decisions about how you want to live your life on this planet; It was God who showed you the best path to take, and it is also God who allows you to make your own decision on whether you want to live and walk with Him or accept the evil one and what goes with him…the evil ones sin-nature and ultimate death. It is you that must decide to follow God in all His glory and love; it is you that must show Him where you put your trust and faith; it is right now when you must decide to rid yourself of Satan’s pit of darkness and evil; then run as fast as you can to the light of Jesus.
One of the most wonderful things God has given us as his adopted children and heirs, is the pathway to His most Holy Kingdom, the admittance for each of His followers into that Kingdom; the Kingdom where you have eternal life without pain, sorrow, death or darkness; a life that you couldn’t begin to understand until you actually reach those gracious shores. To enter God’s Kingdom you merely have to love, honor and obey God’s commands.
Through Jesus’ message to the world, He gave humans a true understanding of who and what God really is; what heaven is like, and how to prepare yourself and obtain admittance to a magnificent eternal life. It is by praising and worshiping God, through dancing and singing praises to Him that will bring you closer to entering the gates of heaven; love, faith, trust, and belief are some of the major necessities in God’s realm; you must love all people, have faith that reaches to eternity, a trust that’s deeper than the deepest ocean, and belief that all He has said and given us in the Bible is absolute truth and someday soon will bring everlasting life to those who follow and believe.
6 Powerful Praise And Worship Verses
You must fear the Lord your God and worship him and cling to him. Your oaths must be in his name alone. He alone is your God, the only one who is worthy of your praise, the one who has done these mighty miracles that you have seen with your own eyes.
Deuteronomy 10:20-21
NOTE: God doesn’t want you bound and gagged and have you subservient to Him; however, He does want to show unbelievers His mighty power and that an idol made of gold, silver, wood, or even rock is nothing more than an inanimate object that can only sit there with an icy cold stare; it can’t move, walk, talk or perform miracles, no, not even one tiny little miracle. God is forgiving, merciful, loving, and kind; all He is asking his children (we humans) is to praise and worship Him for the glorious life He has provided for you; to show Him your gratitude for all He has done for you; give Him love and praise and you will feel his glory through His Holy Spirit moving in your heart.
Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds. Exult in his holy name; rejoice, you who worship the lord.
1 Chronicles 16:8-10
NOTE: Continually give thanks and praise to our sovereign Lord for He is the creator and caregiver of the earth and everything on it. He is the maker of the universe and all that it holds; worship Him in all His glory and He will give you splendor beyond your wildest dreams.
Give to the Lord the glory he deserves! Bring your offering and come into his presence. Worship the Lord in His entire holy splendor.
1 Chronicles 16:29
NOTE: If you know God in your heart, then you know what a wonderful, gracious, merciful, and loving creator we have. God isn’t someone you merely scream out His name for help when you’re in trouble; God is someone you carry with you every moment of every day; He protects you from those troubled times if you hold Him in your heart; worship Him and give Him praise for all He does for you every day. Love your God with all your heart, with all your mind, and all your soul.
When all the people of Israel saw the fire coming down and the glorious presence of the Lord filling the Temple, they fell face down on the ground and worshiped and praised the Lord, saying, “He is good! His faithful love endures forever!”
2 Chronicles 7:3
NOTE: In this scripture, the Lord showed his glory to the people in its full splendor; by showing His glory in this way He gave insight as to just how powerful He is. When I stand before the Lord in prayer, His power is such that all I can do is wipe the tears from my eyes; His love and glory are so magnificent it’s difficult to speak; sometimes I don’t say anything, just bow before Him in sheer amazement. Try spending time with God in this way, you will have a completely different outlook when you finish.
Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under His care. If only you would listen to His voice today!
Psalm 95:6-7
NOTE: God’s voice can come to you like a well-played piano concert, or the breath of a soft breeze working its way through a harp’s strings; or, you could hear it as loud as all the oceans on the earth rising up and crashing down at the same time, or as a trumpet sounding what could be the last call. Remember, God is all-powerful and can make any sound He wishes. He can be completely void of sound and show you what He is like by giving you waves of His never-ending love. When you pray to God, remember to stop periodically and listen to what He is saying to you, you may be surprised at what you hear. Never stop worshiping and praising Him.
Exalt the Lord our God! Bow low before his feet, for he is holy!
Psalm 99:5
NOTE: Give God the respect He deserves, by bowing down to Him, worshiping, and praising Him as befitting our Lord God. He has given you every good thing you have ever had in your life; He continues to bless you and your family every day; even when a crisis occurs look for the blessing He gives you; is God saving someone from something far worse? Is a person being snatched out of the hands of Satan and saved for salvation by moving their path to one that the Lord can most clearly see is a safer way to go. You should count your blessing every day and thank the Lord that He so plentifully and mercifully provides your every need.

While walking on this earth, which God made for us, we should keep Him in the forefront of all we think, do and say; let Him guide you when you speak to others and you will find that never a wrong or disrespectful word will come out of your mouth.
Allow Him to carry you through each day with the love He has in His heart.
