If you’re a Christian blogger or webmaster looking to monetize your website, you’ve probably heard of managed ad platforms such as Monumetric (formerly The Blogger Network), Mediavine, and Ezoic. While all of these platforms promise to help you maximize your revenue and user experience, they have different requirements, features, and benefits.
In this blog post, we’ll focus on Monumetric (The ad network on Viral Believer) and review its requirements, earnings potential, and pros and cons compared to other managed ad platforms.

Who Is Monumetric?
Monumetric, formerly known as The Blogger Network, was founded in 2012 and is a company that provides managed ad services to bloggers and website owners. Their main goal is to help publishers maximize their revenue and provide the best possible user experience for their readers.

Monumetric’s services are designed to be a step up from traditional ad networks like Adsense, offering personalized support and access to a private ad marketplace that uses header bidding to ensure that publishers get the best possible rates for their ad inventory. This means that publishers can benefit from competition between different ad exchanges, resulting in more revenue per pageview.
The company offers four different service tiers to cater to publishers of different sizes, from beginner publishers to those with more than 10 million monthly pageviews. The different tiers provide varying levels of support and access to ad ops teams to help publishers optimize their ad strategy.
Monumetric has a reputation for being a “people company,” providing individualized support to each of their customers. This personalized approach has helped them grow a loyal following among bloggers and website owners who are looking for a more tailored approach to ad optimization.
Overall, Monumetric is a company that is dedicated to helping publishers maximize their revenue potential and improve their user experience.
Their focus on personalized support and access to a private ad marketplace makes them a great option for bloggers who are looking for more than just a traditional ad network.
Monumetric Requirements
Since Monumetric is a managed ad platform, which comes with some perks, there are requirements to join the program. Monumetric splits its services into four tiers: Propel, Ascend, Stratos, and Apollo. Most publishers will probably find themselves in the Propel-Ascend range, but it is nice to see that Monumetric can (and does) provide support for websites of all sizes.
To join Monumetric, you must meet the following requirements:
- A minimum of 10,000 page views per month
- A WordPress or Blogger site
- A 300px wide sidebar
- At least six ad slots on both desktop and mobile
- Must be approved by ad providers
- Pay a $99 one-time setup fee for the Propel plan
The 10,000 monthly minimum is undeniably the best part about Monumetric. If you’re at this traffic level and with Adsense or Ezoic, do your revenue and website a favor and make the switch ASAP.
Monumetric vs. Adsense – Managed Advertising Services
To understand the benefits of a managed ad platform, let’s first compare Monumetric to Adsense, which is the most common display advertising platform on earth. When you host Adsense ads on your blog, you will only show ads from people advertising with Google.
This means that you miss out on the opportunity to show ads from a variety of networks and advertisers, which can lead to lower revenue per pageview. In contrast, with a managed ad service like Monumetric, you can show ads from a variety of networks because Monumetric uses a private ad marketplace and header bidding to ensure your ads are always shown by the advertisers that pay the most.
When I first started blogging in 2011, Adsense was a good option for bloggers. You could make a decent income from them. However, that is not the case today. Adsense is the bottom-of-the-barrel ad network paying less today than it did 10 years ago.
Monumetric Propel Requirements vs. Mediavine
One of the most significant advantages of Monumetric over Mediavine is its lower entry barrier. Mediavine requirements are pretty steep, requiring 50,000 sessions before you can even be considered. It’s easy to be discouraged and feel like you’re never going to make any money on your blog.
Monumetric is the only ad network that doesn’t mind that I have had my website translated into 15 other languages. Both Mediavine and Adthrive are too anglo-centric putting a requirement in place that over 40% of your traffic must come from the top 5 English-speaking nations. When your website is translated into German, French, and other languages prominent in the EU, it dilutes the amount of traffic from those so-called top nations. Yet the EU is not part of the third world.
Adsense pays low, and it can take a long time to reach the traffic level required by Mediavine. Monumetric, however, only requires 10,000 pageviews to be accepted into their program. This is so much more attainable for a new blogger (or even someone who’s been struggling to get to the 50k sessions required for Mediavine).
Monumetric Review: Earnings
Now that we’ve covered the requirements, let’s dive into the earnings potential of Monumetric. Here’s a screenshot of an example of a Monumetric dashboard, showing the earnings for a blogger:

As you can see, the blogger had an amazing day of traffic due to a feature on a prominent website. That day’s income was incredible! On average, the blogger earns about $10 per day in ad revenue, which is not bad for someone just starting out.
My average RPM since joining Monumetric is less but if you have been blogging in the Christian niche for a while you have realized that the Christian niche is not nearly as lucrative as other niches. Monumetric pays me about 4x the amount I was earning with Adsense.
While this example isn’t as high as Mediavine’s RPM, which is known to be around $20 or more, it’s still much better than Adsense, which pays much less than that. As a result, Monumetric is a great option for bloggers who are looking to earn more money without reaching the traffic level required by Mediavine.
One thing to note is that Monumetric requires a one-time setup fee of $99 for the low end Propel plan, which may seem like a lot, but it’s worth the investment in the long run. When you consider the increase in revenue, better user experience, and personalized support, the $99 setup fee is a small price to pay.
Monumetric vs. Ezoic
Monumetric is not the only managed ad platform available to bloggers. Ezoic is another popular option that promises to help publishers maximize their revenue and user experience. However, there are differences between the two platforms that are worth considering before making a choice.
For example, Ezoic requires a minimum of 10,000 sessions per month, which is equivalent to about 15,000 pageviews per month. This is slightly higher than Monumetric’s requirement of 10,000 pageviews per month, but it’s still a more attainable goal than Mediavine’s 50,000 sessions requirement. Additionally, Ezoic offers a free plan that doesn’t require a setup fee, while Monumetric requires a one-time fee of $99 for their bottom tier Propel plan.
In terms of earnings potential, Monumetric has performed much better than Ezoic for my niche. Ezoic was not much better than Adsense for me. In fact, Ezoic’s claim that their computer-generated testing of ad placement would produce higher earnings never performed like promised. I eventually went back to Adsense when the EPMVs that they were paying were similar to Adsense, but Adsense did not slow down my site as Ezoic did.
Another difference between the two platforms is the level of personalized support they offer. Monumetric prides itself on being a “people company” that provides individualized support to help maximize revenue and experience for the customer.
Ezoic, on the other hand, offers a self-service platform that relies on artificial intelligence to optimize your ads. Customer service is almost non-existent with Ezoic and when you do put in a service request, the Ezoic reps are obviously not trained technicians but are farmed out to a third party.
With Monumetric, you have a personal manager and trained technicians. You have real people to work with.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Monumetric is a great managed ad platform for Christian bloggers who are looking to maximize their revenue and user experience. With a minimum requirement of 10,000 page views per month,
Monumetric is more attainable than Mediavine and offers better earnings potential than Adsense. They perform better than Ezoic and you don’t have to deal with Ezoic’s Customer “No-Service.”
While there is a one-time setup fee of $99 for the Propel plan, the investment is worth it for the increase in revenue and personalized support. However, it’s important to note that there are other managed ad platforms available. Ultimately, the choice between Monumetric and other platforms depends on your traffic level, goals, and preferences.
In the end, I have no problem recommending Monumetric to my fellow Christian bloggers.
