Jesus Verses – Scriptures About Jesus Christ

Jesus: A Name Above All Others; A Love To Vast To Be Concealed; A Heart That Touches Every Person; A Blood That Heals Every Man And Forgives Every Sin!

One of the most famous scriptures in the Bible is “God so loved the world he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God sent His only Begotten Son to be born of man; to live and walk a human life; to teach the Good News or the ways of God our Father; to heal the sick; restore sight to the blind, and ultimately lay down His sin-free life on the tree of humiliation and shame in order to save the entire world from living in darkness and sin; to forgive those sins, past, present and future. Jesus knew what His mission on earth was and exactly how it would end, yet He did not hesitate in honoring his Father’s wishes to be born into this world as a human.

Hundreds of years prior to Jesus’ appearing on earth God told the Prophet Isaiah, “For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders.” Isaiah went on to predict the life Jesus would live and how he would die; the shame and suffering he would go through; that Jesus would be beaten and so severely disfigured it would be difficult to recognize Him as a man. You might ask yourself, “How could a human inflict such horrid punishment, pain, and suffering on anyone, especially one whose only crime was to love, help and heal; to shine God’s light on the world and wake humanity up to the Glory of God.”

Jesus Verses

Below are a few scriptures that give a more complete understanding of Jesus in His walk as the “Son of Man;” a better idea of how and why Jesus served his Father as fully, completely, and freely as He did; Jesus had only love and respect for our Father God, and in the eyes of Jesus, this mission was the ultimate for honoring both He and His Father God.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Proverbs 3:5-6

NOTE:  Jesus is the light of the world; He tells us that He is “the way, the truth, and the life…” He goes on to tell you that you cannot get to the Father unless you go through Him; Jesus is the great mediator between God and humans. Therefore, if you believe and trust in Jesus, you must rebuke sin and hold tightly to Jesus because He not only loves you with a love so great that nothing can take it away, but is also your only road to heaven and eternal life.

I cried out, “I’m slipping!” but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.

Psalms 94:18-19

NOTE: There is always hope and comfort in the Lord Jesus; allow His never-wavering love to surround you continuously; let Him hold your hand always; you can feel his wonderful love through his mighty hand; He guides you in the comfort that He is real; that He is with you every moment.  He cares deeply for you and will not allow evil to overtake you if you believe in and follow Him. Never fear for when you ask, He is always there “protecting and watching over you!”

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Joshua 1:9

NOTE: Jesus willingly came to this earth to become a sacrifice, a sacrifice to all humanity. His only mission on earth was to spread the word of the Almighty God to everyone, everywhere; to glorify God in the highest; and, to sacrifice His own life to save every human from sin and eternal damnation. His love and respect for His Father were so great that He gladly took up the cup handed to Him then full of grace and love for His Father, fulfilled His mission to the glory of His Father. In doing so God raised Jesus’ name high above all other names and gave Him the glory of His mission on earth.

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Isaiah 4:10

NOTE: The Lord knows the times that you are hiding in fear; those are the times when he is sheltering you under His wings; this is the time He is helping you rid yourself of your sin-nature; God will protect you all ways; helping you with turning fear (darkness) into belief (light) is one of those ways.  Ask for God’s help in increasing the light within you and allow others to see it shine.

For I hold you by your right hand—I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.

Isaiah 4:13

NOTE: When God tells you He is holding you by the right hand you have absolutely nothing to worry or fear about. This means that He is watching over you and will protect you from harm. Ask the Lord for his protection when you pray, you will find He will provide you with peace, rest, and joy in your heart.

So don’t worry about these things, saying, “What will we eat? What will we wear?” These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Matthew 6:31-34

NOTE: One of the reasons God tells you to “live one day at a time” is just what He is talking about in the above scripture. When your mind is focused on tomorrow you can’t see what’s going on in front of you; it would be very easy to miss an opportunity of a lifetime by having your mind and thoughts elsewhere. Today is the only time you actually have to live in. Yesterday is gone, things that happened yesterday will not be happening the same way today; tomorrow is a gift that God may or may not grant you. In saying that, only God knows where you will or will not be tomorrow. You must take today for what you have in it; make sure you live today to its fullest under God’s wing; show God that you will walk beside Him always in hope and love.

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.

John 16:33

NOTE: In looking at what we endure on this earth you might think it’s a “testing ground”; testing us to be prepared to enter our eternal life; do we actually love God; do we even know what “love” is; can you say “I love God above all else” when you are in the middle of an earthly crisis?

Loving God isn’t just a part-time, passing fancy, it’s a full lifetime commitment; it’s working very hard every day to keep your faith in God only above all else. The Lord Jesus can take your cares from you if you just believe in Him and His devout love for you.

The most enduring promise from God is that He will always be there for you in times of trouble and insecurity. His mighty wings are always waiting to cover you in safety; God doesn’t just “drop by to see how you’re doing once in a while” He is here always; always tending to your needs; always making sure that when you ask for security during your dark hours, He is there for you!

Jesus Christ

Know God and show Him your deep, sincere love and loyalty every time you speak a prayer to Him; praise Him every time you look at the beauty on this earth by simply saying “thank you!”; every time you feel your heart beating or listen to small children playing in a park remember how much God has given to you in order to keep you safe.

All God is asking is that you obey His commands and show your love to Him; give Him your entire heart, not just little pieces here and there. If you truly want to live with God in His realm as one of His children and heirs, then do His bidding and continue building your faith, giving all glory to Him and knowing He the Ancient Holy One is completely trustworthy in all things.
