The Best Bible Verses From The Book Of Psalms

THE BOOK OF PSALMS IS ACTUALLY A COLLECTION OF SHORT HYMS OR SONGS DEDICATED TO THE LORD.

First and foremost, we must realize that Jesus Christ is the most important and greatest person to ever walk this earth. His life and the forfeiture of it gave every human being on this earth a chance to live; not only live, but to live free from the hounds of Hell; it was through Jesus that man was freed from the evils of sin; He gave His life to see that God’s precious creations were worthy and could be called children of God for He removed all their sin by taking them into Himself; and dying a horrid sinner’s death for everyone one of us.

I’m sure you can’t even imagine how much Jesus actually gave up for us; the pain and suffering He went through so that each and every human could live a life free from Satan’s grip; free from pain and death; free from the fear of being taken to Hell and spending eternity being tortured and suffering at the hands of the father of all evil.

9 Bible Verses From Psalms

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.

Psalms 1:1-2

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honor.

Psalms 8:3-5

The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good. The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God. They have all turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is none who does good, No, not one.

Psalms 14-1-3

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Psalms 16:11

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandments of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.

Psalms 19:7-11

How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults. Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me. Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

Psalms 19:12-14

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

Psalms 23:1-6

The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 27:1

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, through ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished. If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone. You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet. The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”

Psalms 91:1-16

Take your time in reading the many wonderful songs of Psalms. David wrote many phrases about the wonders of God in the beauty of the Psalms.  Study the Book of Psalms, again and again, you will find that everything you crave in your life can be found referenced or referred to in that Holy Book.

Study the promises God has made to you in this scriptural section of the Bible and you will add peace, joy, love, and understanding of many things Jesus taught while He walked the earth. He was not here to cause strife and hardships; He was here to show the entire world how it must worship God; how to pray to Him; what keeping, following, and using the Ten Commandments actually mean, and how easy it is to do if you have the love for God in your heart and you place He and His Kingdom before “everything else” and follow those mighty words.

Whatever difficulty you may come against, He has already set the solution into motion. It’s a wonderful thing when you know that God is always three millenniums ahead of our human thinking. Take the time to study the Book of Psalms and what a blessing the words of this Book is.
