Morning Verses To Start Your Day

How often have you slid your legs over the edge of the bed and just sat there for a few minutes, allowing pictures and thoughts of how bad the day is going to be reflecting through your mind. Or, are you one of God’s children that open their eyes and the first thing they say is “Good Morning Lord! Thank You for This Wonderful Day.”

bible scripture on starting your morning

It’s amazing what a difference your attitude first thing in the morning can make for the rest of the day; just saying good morning to God is something that will make Him smile; He is pleased when you take a moment to communicate with Him and you will smile because it uplifts your spirit. Since you are a child of God, you should get acquainted with your Father God. He teaches throughout the Bible that He wants to have a good relationship with all His children and thus puts it into your heart to speak to Him periodically throughout the day, simply saying “I love you Father God” will be enough to acknowledge Him.

The following scripture will help you understand the relationship God wants to have with his children (we humans) as His most prized possession. In our understanding, it is difficult to find the path that God wants us to take unless we have given ourselves to Him and all His mighty works. He has the ability to give you the wisdom it takes to understand his plan and always agree that His plan is the “only plan” that keeps us growing in love and the fullness of his Glory. Read the scriptures below and reflect on what they mean to you and how they can help you make it through every day with God’s love surrounding you.

Bible Verses To Start Your Morning

Psalms 5:3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord. In the morning I will direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

NOTE: For the devout Christian, your first response to the day upon waking may possibly be your attitude the entire day. Waking and thanking God for a beautiful day, full of his Grace and Glory can give you the best day you’ve ever had. When you open your eyes, try saying “God, Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit, I love you and thank you for being with me throughout this wonderful day.” You just may find that God is sending you many blessings just for acknowledging him in the morning.

Psalms 90:14 Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives.

NOTE: God is always waiting for you to praise Him; the song is the best way to do that. A song of honor and love to Him each morning will keep you in His love and grace all day. So remember when you’re in the shower or combing your hair, sing a song that will give Him your grateful love.

Psalms 143:8 Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.

NOTE:  Asking God to speak to you in the morning can bring many blessings during your waking hours. Just think about how great it is to have the Almighty God saying “good morning” to you. His love is always surrounding you and will never leave you, so accept what you hear in the mornings and rejoice that you hear from the Heavens in response to your request.

Lamentations 3:22-24

It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him.

NOTE:  Remember the above scripture, it is very important that you understand that God will never leave you; His Glory begins “every” morning just as the scripture says. Try and feel how wonderful it is to have your God greet you in the morning with love and compassion. You can’t start your day any better than that.

Conclusion

We’ve said before that communication with God in the morning is a very important part of the follower’s lifestyle. Try waking up with a prayer request on your mind; you can actually feel how happy that makes God feel because you are actually building a relationship with him; something that only you and He have together. Every person on this earth is different; every person prays differently; every person talks to God in a different manner, so don’t worry about what you’re going to say, just let it come from the heart and God will honor you thinking of Him when you are in need.

Talking to God is something that should be constantly on your mind. Ongoing conversations will draw you much closer to God and give you more understanding and knowledge of what He is all about and how He operates within each of us. Giving prayer to Jesus and the Holy Spirit is just as important as talking to Father God every day. Jesus is the “way, the truth and the life” and the Holy Spirit will teach you all things and give you an understanding of things unrevealed.

Since Jesus and the Holy Spirit are living within every believer, it is much easier to converse with either of them; Jesus will teach you his ways, His commands, and how to reach heaven. The Holy Spirit was given to the believers as a gift from God, through Jesus, and is used for helping us to walk through a Christian life and stand firm when turmoil comes.

At this time, the entire world is under the impression that Jesus will be returning very soon; we all pray this is correct. However, Father God Almighty has determined the time and day Jesus will be returning and we are not to know that just yet. God has promised that all things will be made clear to us as we seek out knowledge and understanding.

When you become a believer in God, your entire world will be changing, much for the better. You will find that by just saying “good morning Father” the day will become somewhat of wonder and you will discover a multitude of new blessings in your life and the life of others you associate with.
