25 Trustworthy Christian Quotes About Faithfulness

To be faithful means to be filled with faith. These Christian quotes about faithfulness will help you because your faithfulness makes you trustworthy to God.

Throughout the years that I have been a believer in Jesus, there have been many times where quotes from saints of old have helped me be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.

I am reminded of what the author of the book of Hebrews said when talking about running our race to the end.

Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.

He said this after he had listed in chapter 11 people of God who had stood in faith.

I hope these quotes about being faithful to God will stir your faith and help you overcome and endure to the end.

Quotes About Faithfulness And Loyalty From Men Of Faith

The beautiful thing about this adventure called faith is that we can count on Him never to lead us astray. – Charles (Chuck) Swindoll

It matters little what form of prayer we adopt or how many words we use. What matters is the faith which lays hold on God, knowing that He knows our needs before we even ask Him. That is what gives Christian prayer its boundless confidence and its joyous certainty. – Dietrich Bonhoeffer

A friend… said, “You were healed by faith.” “Oh, no,” I said, “I was healed by Christ.” What is the difference? There is a great difference. There came a time when even faith seemed to come between me and Jesus. I thought I should have to work up the faith, so I laboured to get the faith. At last I thought I had it; that if I put my whole weight upon it, it would hold. I said, when I thought I had got the faith, “Heal me.” I was trusting in myself, in my own heart, in my own faith. I was asking the Lord to do something for me because of something in me, not because of something in Him. – A. B. Simpson

We can walk without fear, full of hope and courage and strength to do His will, waiting for the endless good which He is always giving as fast as He can get us able to take it in. – George Macdonald

Faith expects from God what is beyond all expectation. – Andrew Murray

Many Christians estimate difficulty in the light of their own resources, and thus they attempt very little and they always fail. All giants have been weak men who did great things for God because they reckoned on His power and presence to be with them. –James Hudson Taylor

Faith is not belief without proof, but trust without reservations. – Elton Trueblood

We often think of great faith as something that happens spontaneously so that we can be used for a miracle or healing. However, the greatest faith of all, and the most effective, is to live day by day trusting Him. It is trusting Him so much that we look at every problem as an opportunity to see His work in our life. It is not worrying, but rather trusting and abiding in the peace of God that will crush anything that Satan tries to do to us. If the Lord created the world out of chaos, He can easily deal with any problem that we have. – Rick Joyner

When we get into difficult circumstances, we impoverish His ministry by saying, “Of course, He can’t do anything about this.” We struggle to reach the bottom of our own well, trying to get water for ourselves. Beware of sitting back, and saying, “It can’t be done.” You will know it can be done if you will look to Jesus. The well of your incompleteness runs deep, but make the effort to look away from yourself and to look toward Him. – Oswald Chambers

God is not a deceiver, that He should offer to support us, and then, when we lean upon Him, should slip away from us. – Augustine

Being Faithful Quotes From Women of Faith

Our lives are full of supposes. Suppose this should happen, or suppose that should happen; what could we do; how could we bear it? But, if we are living in the high tower of the dwelling place of God, all these supposes will drop out of our lives. We shall be quiet from the fear of evil, for no threatenings of evil can penetrate into the high tower of God. Even when walking through the valley of the shadow of death, the psalmist could say, will fear no evil; and, if we are dwelling in God, we can say so too. – Hannah Whitall Smith

The acid test of our faith in the promises of God is never found in the easy-going, comfortable ways of life, but in the great emergencies, the times of storm and of stress, the days of adversity, when all human aid fails. – Ethel Bell

Unanswered yet? Nay, do not say ungranted; Perhaps your part is not yet wholly done; The work began when first your prayer was uttered, And God will finish what He has begun. Though years have passed since then, do not despair; His glory you shall see, sometime, somewhere. – Ophelia Adams

This is our Lord’s will,… that our prayer and our trust be, alike, large. For if we do not trust as much as we pray, we fail in full worship to our Lord in our prayer; and also we hinder and hurt ourselves. The reason is that we do not know truly that our Lord is the ground from which our prayer springeth; nor do we know that it is given us by his grace and his love. If we knew this, it would make us trust to have of our Lord’s gifts all that we desire. For I am sure that no man asketh mercy and grace with sincerity, without mercy and grace being given to him first. – Juliana of Norwich

God is God. Because He is God, He is worthy of my trust and obedience. I will find rest nowhere but in His holy will, a will that is unspeakably beyond my largest notions of what He is up to. – Elisabeth Elliot

Faith is believing He, the miracle worker, can turn my stone-cold indifference into a fire of love toward certain “unlovables”. – Pamela Reeve

Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible. – Corrie Ten Boom

Faith is not a refuge from reality. It is a demand that we face reality, with all its difficulties, opportunities, and implications. The true subject matter of religion is not our own little souls, but the Eternal God and His whole mysterious purpose, and our solemn responsibility to Him. – Evelyn Underhill

As a sound may dislodge an avalanche, so the prayer of faith sets in motion the power of God. – Mrs. Charles E. Cowman

Isn’t it nice to know we have assurance for today through Christ and not just insurance against the what-ifs of tomorrow? –Katherine Walden
