bible scriptures on hope in hard times

God is all-powerful but at the same time, He gave each human a will of their own so humans have a choice in the way they want to live. In other words, God gave us the right to choose between good and evil.  That may seem to be difficult to understand but if you look at any situation with the Lord in your heart, you’ll find that you should be rejoicing in your hard times and looking for the Lord to step into your specific situation.

God is willing to reveal Himself to you in your hard times, however, when your eyes refuse to look to God and stay focused on the problem it becomes harder and harder to see and hear Him. God tells us to fix our eyes and heart on Him to help us overcome those hard times.  (Scriptures are from NKJV)

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with you: be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you; Yes, I will help you, I will hold you up with my righteous right hand.

Note: God is the almighty power; it is through Him that all things are done; He is the planner of the universe; the wisdom from where all things come; and the creator of all things. In order to truly follow God, we must pray and worship Him daily and keep his special commandments. God is always with you; more true, kind and loving than any human father could be to his children. So don’t fear anything that you feel is coming against you, just turn to God and pray for His protection, you’ll find everything will suddenly be full of light just when you need it the most.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Philippians 4:13  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Note:  All you have to do is accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, believe He was raised from the dead by God our Father, and follow His ways and you will find strength, love, and courage you didn’t know you had.

James 1:3-4  …knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.  But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Note: If you find that your faith is being tested, God may be telling you rather than complaining about your troubles, you should look at them as opportunities for growth in your life as a Christian. Find the passage in the Bible that would bring the most reward to the situation and study it. There is always an answer in the Bible if you know where to look. God will help you do that if you just ask.

Conclusion

There are many other verses in the Bible that show how God will always be with you in hard times or times of a troubled heart. In every book of the Bible, you will find scripture on how very much God cares for the human race and how He protects and provides for us. The most important thing in your life today is how you worship God; obeying His commands and truly believing that He raised his son, Jesus Christ, from the dead. If you are worshiping God as He asks you to, you will find that the hard times seem a little less difficult to face and much easier to get through.

When you ask God to come into your life you will find that many things change for you, because God’s love for you changes the way you feel about not only yourself but also others who are seeking hope and peace in their lives. When God is living within you, you will be able to testify to others of your trials, thus helping them to come to the Lord. Always look to God for the answers in your life, make the hard times a time of rejoicing that you are receiving assistance from God which will make a very difficult situation one that you can endure. You will also find that you’ve learned more about our Father God and how much He truly does love each and every one of us.

Living a Godly life is not an easy thing to do. As in ancient times, you have those that do not believe, they will mock and taunt you. It is well worth standing true to God and keeping faith in Jesus Christ which will help you to see Paradise in the end times. God has promised entry to heaven to every person on this planet, however, those under Satan’s evil nature are still resisting God’s calling. He promised that even in the end times those who call out to him can be saved.

You must keep in mind that God is the answer to everything and Jesus Christ is the way to get those answers. Just ask for forgiveness and allow Him to come into your heart. He is always walking with you, both in hard times and times of rejoicing. When Jesus was ascending into heaven He gave all His followers a part of the Holy Spirit to carry with them, to help them learn and become better Christians. Use this Holy Spirit within you to help you understand God’s teachings and what He expects of the humans He created.
