The Example of Abraham – A True Worshiper

When you think of a true worshiper, who comes to mind?

For some people, it might be Abraham, who was willing to sacrifice his own son in obedience to God. He showed his dedication and love for God in everything he did, and he is a great example of someone who worshiped Him with all his heart.

The Example of Hannah – A True Worshiper

The Bible is full of stories of worshippers. And while they all serve as great examples, we want to focus on one in particular: Hannah.

Hannah was a woman who dedicated her life to worshiping God. She was so committed to Him that she even made a vow never to eat or drink again until she saw her son grow up and serve the Lord. (1 Samuel 1:11)

What makes Hannah such an excellent example of a true worshiper is her faithfulness in the midst of adversity. Not only did she suffer the pain of being childless, but she also had to deal with her husband’s other wife who taunted her constantly.

Despite all this, Hannah remained faithful to God and continued to worship Him with all her heart. She knew that He was good, even when life was not. And that is the mark of a true worshiper.

The Example of Mary- A True Worshiper

Take the example of Mary. She was a true worshiper. When the angel Gabriel came to her, she didn’t question his identity or try to talk to him on a human level. She recognized who he was and that he was sent by God.

This same attitude should be reflected in our own worship. We should come before God with humility, recognizing his power and greatness. We should be willing to put our own desires and wants aside and simply worship him for who he is.

The Example Of Paul And Silas – True Worshipers

Paul and Silas were two of the greatest examples of true worshipers. They were in prison for preaching the gospel, and instead of worrying about their own well-being, they chose to worship God. Despite the fact that they were chained in stocks and unable to move, they continued to pray and praise God.

Their words of faith and hope in the face of such a trying situation inspired their fellow prisoners, who joined them in their prayers. Even the jailer marveled at the transformation he was seeing among his prisoners due to Paul and Silas’s worship.

That night, the Lord sent an earthquake that released everyone from their bonds. This example shows us that no matter what we are going through, we can still give thanks to God if we keep our eyes on Him!

The Example Of The Alabaster Jar – True Worship

The fifth and final example of true worshippers in the Bible is seen in the story of the woman with the alabaster jar. This woman interrupts a dinner gathering by entering the room with an alabaster jar full of fragrant oil.

The woman proceeds to break open the jar and pour out its contents at Jesus’ feet, anointing His body with it. Even though some of those present thought this was a waste, Jesus praised her for her actions and explained that she was anointing Him for His burial.

This example shows us how true worshipers will put aside their own desires, even if they are perceived as wasteful by others, to honor God’s will. The woman’s actions were an act of humility in which she humbled herself before Jesus and His mission – to pay for our sins on Calvary’s cross.

Conclusion

When it comes down to it, the Bible is full of examples of people who truly worshiped God. They weren’t perfect, and they definitely made mistakes, but they had a genuine love and respect for Him that shone through in everything they did.

As you read through these examples, ask yourself if you are a worshiper of God. Do you have a heart that is full of love for Him, or are you just going through the motions?

If you’re not there yet, ask Him to help you become a true worshiper. He will never turn you away, and He will always be there to help you grow in your faith.
