Bible Verses On Self-love

What Do You See When You Look Into A Mirror; Peace, Love, Joy, Anger, Dislike, Or Even Hatred?

Have you ever said to yourself “I hate you!” My question to you is how can you look at God’s most precious creation and say you “hate” it? In God’s eyes and in His followers, everything He creates is good, pure, and beautiful; that’s how you should be able to see yourself, as one of God’s beautiful creations. If you will look at yourself through God’s eyes you may be able to understand what is driving you to dislike what you see.

Only by understanding and giving yourself to God and His ways will bring you out of depression and replaced with the joy that should be in your heart. God is the one at the wheel; He is the one telling you how to drive the boat. The evil one is always waiting for the opportunity to gain access to your thoughts so he can make you feel as low as possible or, not good enough.

Bible Verses About Love

He does this because you are one of God’s creations and he will continue whispering to you with any thought he can find of you not being good enough to work with God; that you’re inferior in every aspect of your life. He is a liar and a thief and will try to steal all the joy Jesus gives you. Do not listen to the evil one, turn to God, and begin to pray!

Give your entire self to God; ask God to help you rid yourself of the evil that is causing you these totally negative feelings. You are a beautiful, glorious creation of Father God; it is the evil influence of Satan that’s attempting to cover your beauty and godliness. At those times you need to turn to God and ask for His help in cleansing the evil which managed to distract your thinking and gain control of your mind. God has given you, by working with the Holy Spirit (that lives within you), the authority to take your hand and send Satan and his evildoers, back to Hell where they belong. Of course, Satan will return at the first opportunity to make you believe that he is the “good” one and that God will only try to harm you. Just keep in mind that Satan is the “father of lies,” and God is the “Father of Creation.”

Bible Verses About Self Love

Psalms 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.

NOTE: The words in this passage, if taken literally are very powerful. How wonderful life would be if we all lived the way God intended. All God wants from us is our admiration, fear, love, and obedience to His commandments. Give God your love and assure Him each time you pray that you are His child and you will surrender to His plans for your life; He may have planned an entirely new path for you to take, just but keep in your heart that it is God’s Plan, not yours and abide with what he instructs you to do. Obedience to God’s requests is a very important part of your worshiping Him; His greatest commandment is to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.” In doing so, you will find that you no longer feel left behind, alone or depressed, for you see God is Love and He will always be with you.

Psalms 139:13-16 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.

NOTE: In this tribute to God from David you can read how much the human body means to God. God never makes anything that isn’t perfect in His sight; if you think about the works of the human body it is truly a marvelous creation. God gave us this body, color of hair, the color of eyes, even unto your skin color that makes up the sum total of how you are to be used as His Temple. Your body is something to love and be proud of, our bodies represent a temple to the Most High God where Jesus and the Holy Spirit dwell, moving with every step you take; teaching, loving, giving you the ways of Gods life and commandments concerning how and why He created the body so it would be a sanctuary for God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Let God know through your prayers that you are grateful and joyful to have this wonderful mechanism; remember Jesus Christ, our Lord, and future King loved us so much He went voluntarily to the cross in shame, and yet no sin ever touched Him even as He laid down His human life for us; so we could live in peace, love, and harmony and be completely sin-free.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

NOTE: Light comes through Jesus Christ, and what a marvelous light it is! When you ask Jesus to forgive you and become a follower, you will find that the darkness which has been inside you is no longer there. God turns the darkness into light so you have a clear view all around you. Don’t be afraid of what you see; God is there with you and will let nothing harm you. Give a prayer of thanks every day for giving His life for us; His unbroken promises, and His unending love.

Ephesians 3:12 But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me—and not without results.

NOTE: When God pours out His special favor, it shows He is very pleased with not only how you are following Him, but also fulfilling His commandments. Sometimes walking a pure Christian life isn’t easy, but if you continue working, walking, and talking with God, allowing Him to lead you, you will always feel his love and be protected and safe from harm.

Isaiah 41:10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

NOTE: Keep in mind, you are Gods’ beloved creation, his final creation before He rested on the 7th day and made it Holy. God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit will never break a promise made, and if you hear “Don’t be afraid” you will know that one or all of them are at your side helping you to give yourself the same kind of love the entire Trinity gives you.

Concluding Thoughts On Self Love

When you’re dealing with self-love we have a tendency to look in a mirror and begin counting down all our faults. If you find yourself doing that then you should ask Jesus why you are feeling this way. There could be many reasons you’re getting depressed about yourself, perhaps Satan sent an imp to try and pull you away from worshiping our Blessed Lord Jesus; perhaps something didn’t go the way you “thought” it should; perhaps someone degraded you on your dress, hair, shoes or something you were wearing or doing that you felt really good about. Keeping yourself away from self-dislike can be done by merely asking Jesus to remove the feelings and if necessary to dislodge the evil entity that is harassing you. Jesus will always keep you safe and the love you have for Him shall be fully restored in your self-love.
