18 Bible Verses About Confidence

What Does The Word ‘confidence’ Mean; How Can You Successfully Use It?

According to the dictionary, the word “confidence” means firm trust, a feeling of self-assurance arising from one’s appreciation of one’s abilities or qualities. Confidence, for example, is what you bring forth when sitting in a job interview. A person usually musters all the confidence they have when going to an interview of any kind. You always want to put your best foot forward, and that’s where your confidence comes forth; when you know that you can do whatever is required of you, the confidence you have in yourself comes running forward to impress others around you.

“Confidence” is much like “Pride” too much of a good thing is not always good. Before you start bragging about your accomplishments, look at what went into them;  Like pride, you must be careful not to become overbearing so that you sound as though you are conceited or overly boastful. Following are Bible verses about being confident study these scriptures and know that they are Jesus’ word which is the “truth!”

Jeremiah 17:7

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Corinthians 12:9

To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of god might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him Therefore I ask that you do not lose heart at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

Ephesians 3:8-13

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace

Hebrews 10:35-36

Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. Conclusion

God is pure love and the completeness of everything, and Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, is the only way to get those answers. “Ask” for the Lord for His forgiveness; allow Him into your heart; He is always with you; Jesus, as a gift, left the Holy Spirit to dwell in the hearts of every believer upon His ascension into heaven. When Jesus ascended into Heaven, God our Father instructed Him to send the Holy Spirit to every believer so that they would have a “helper” living within them. From that time on, the Holy Spirit has lived in every believer’s heart and will be there forever; He will never leave or forsakes you; He is there to teach, guard, and help you forever; He is there to help you learn and become a better Christian; He is there living in your heart to help you understand God’s teachings; to remember the teachings of Jesus when He walked the earth; He is there as an alternative helper for Jesus who returned to our Father, the Almighty God, and head of the Triune.
